🎵 Burnout: I wrote a song - "Bleeding Knuckles"

I was seeing a lot of people writing about burnout on here recently. I feel for you. I was in a mood and started writing lyrics and drawing a cartoon. Here is the aftermath. I think if you can't feel anymore, maybe you will feel this song. Drawing and writing got me out of bed today, that's dramatic and I'll spare details. But you all know that feeling. <3

Original Lyrics from me

Stress, nausea, feet beneath me.
Waiting uncertainly no failsafe, depleted
Untested beyond tested
Weathered all the way through
Apathy, lack of happiness
Quivering like a shrew
Forced to sign up
Kicked on the way out
No one hears the silent screams
Trapped in a cycle
Full of doubt

The screams are so deafening
But only in my thoughts
Every resource taken
Methodically forsaken
Burnt to a crisp
Wondering in the mist
What is this life for
To suffer and be ignored
Based on my own principles
And listening to others
Ive built walls around myself
No way to go forward

If champions are forged
from years of blood
Then I should find my diamond statue
saluting me back in the face
in the future
Where have all the heros gone
To bring peace with a simple song
Heavy burdens lose their weight
The solo fighter stomps out hate

Where are the moments
Of joy and happiness
For anyone else
I would never wish this
Forgiveness and care
Have gotten me nowhere
If I cannot be selfish
Then why do I feel alone
The highs and lows
Have reached a breaking point
I cannot function
I can't feel
Debating if anything here is real

Just a few tiny threads remain
Before I hit the edge again
I feel im falling quickly
Some say that I cant see
making me believe
That my bleeding knuckles
Are just for vanity
Sacrificing health to please the weak
I see the ground is still beneath me
Panicked heart waterfall tears
Dread appears as friend
