I’ve been working on PiMonitor, a Raspberry Pi monitoring dashboard built with Node-RED and FlowFuse Dashboard 2.0.
The goal was simple: have one clean place to check the health of my Raspberry Pi without relying on an external monitoring service.
PiMonitor v2.1 currently shows:
- CPU usage
- RAM usage
- CPU temperature
- Host disk usage
- Uptime
- 1 / 5 / 15 minute load averages
- Overall system health
- OK / WARNING / CRITICAL states
- Rolling 1-hour CPU, RAM and temperature history
I’m running it on a Raspberry Pi 5 with Node-RED inside Docker / Portainer.
One of the more interesting parts was getting useful host information while Node-RED is running inside a container. The dashboard also supports optional remote access through Tailscale.
I tested the remote setup from a phone over 5G with Wi-Fi disabled, so I can check the Raspberry Pi while I’m away from home without exposing Node-RED directly to the public Internet, and I'm using it to monitor my DIY 200W solar panel connected to the Victron Energy Smart Solar Charger and a 100Ah gel battery.
The current version uses FlowFuse Dashboard 2.0 rather than the deprecated legacy Node-RED Dashboard.

I’d be interested in feedback from other Raspberry Pi and Node-RED users, especially on the dashboard layout and which system metrics would be most useful to add next.
