The abstention rate is itself an ethical metric: too low means the model is overconfident; too high means it's not useful. Challenges I hit and how I worked around them

Challenge 1: Physics model fidelity. My initial strain-energy model was too simplistic and the physics residual overwhelmed the diffusion loss.
